CMS Medicaid and CHIP Providers: Understanding Your Responsibilities to the Payment Error Rate Measurement (PERM) Program
The CMS Payment Error Rate Measurement (PERM) program is excited to present the Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) Provider Education Webinars! The PERM program is designed to measure and report improper payments in the Medicaid and CHIP Programs. Each webinar is designed to educate the provider and supplier community about the PERM program and explain the responsibilities to those providers and suppliers who are participating in the Medicaid and/or CHIP programs. Attending a webinar is an opportunity for you to better understand your specific responsibilities during the PERM cycle.

CMS is targeting having those providers and suppliers from each of the 17 states within the current Reporting Year (RY23, Cycle 2) – see list of targeted states below. The live webinars will be open to all states in Cycles 1 and 3, if there is capacity.

Target Audience includes the PERM Teams and Medicaid/CHIP Providers from the following States: Alabama, California, Colorado, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, and West Virginia. (Other States are welcome as capacity allows.)

Please note that each of the three webinars will consist of the same information covering the topics outlined below. Each webinar session will be recorded and one of the recordings will be posted to the Payment Error Rate Measurement (PERM) | CMS website after the completion of the final informational webinar.
